When I asked my Financial Advisor (one of the most creative and brilliant people I know, thus proving creative and finance do not have to be oxymorons) this was her best tip for managing her time:
“Ok, let’s play!”
THat’s what she said, and I am not even kidding. Her strategy for managing time was to combine play with things she needed to accomplish. So, do you have a meeting you’re not looking forward to? A project that feels like it’s going to kill you? Try taking a meeting to a prairie field, or a coffee shop and for that project, maybe go into your closet with a muffin and a flashlight, make things different. Make things fun. Things that are fun are easier to do.
